Krist Papas is an emerging photographer from Toronto, Canada. Born in Toronto and self taught, Krist examines what is communicated of individual expression through a portrait. Each portrait is a direct study of individuality. In Krist's direct, observational approach the portrait is used to record the similarities but also the unique differences of each individual. In 2008 Krist was selected to participate in the first Magnum photo agency workshop in Toronto. Through his blog whatsyourpersona.com, Krist also explores the everyday appearances of Torontonian's through a series of street portraits. Krist has contributed his street portraits to publications such as Toromagazine.com, TorontoLife.com and Vogue.com. Krist lives and exhibits in Toronto.
